HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR FINE WIRE JEWELRY

Your wire sculptured and wire wrapped jewelry is designed to last from one generation to the next. The gold and where applicable, the fine silver jewelry will not tarnish but will become soiled with finger prints and perspiration.

Sterling silver will tarnish if not worn every day.  When not being worn, sterling silver should be kept in an air tight bag with a small piece of black board chalk, or an anti-tarnish strip such as the kind you place in your silver drawer. We include such a strip with every piece of Sterling jewelry we ship.

By following a few very simple rules your fine wire sculptured jewelry will last a life time. You care for these items just as you do any other fine piece of jewelry.

    1. Do not wear your jewelry when engaged in sports of the type where it may become damaged, broken or lost.

    2. Do not wear your jewelry when swimming as the pool chemicals may cause damage to the stones, especially soft stones such as turquoise, malachite or opal.

    3. Do clean your jewelry with a soft, jewelry polishing cloth such as “Sunshine Cloth”, designed just for this purpose. (You may order a cloth on the order page for $4.50 each plus shipping.)

CARE FOR YOUR CULTURED PEARLS

When you follow some simple rules, your pearls will remain beautiful and last for years:

Never use detergents, abrasives, ultra-sonics or standard jewelry cleaner to clean your pearls.

Do use a clean damp soft cloth to clean your pearls, taking care to not abrade the surface of your pearls.

If you wear hairspray, apply the hairspray to your hair first then don your pearl jewelry.

Do not wear hand creams or creams around your neck when you are wearing your pearl jewelry. These creams can discolor the pearls and destroy the nacre.
